Roo is a passionate, multi-talented, filmmaker and photographer based in Boulder, Colorado but travels all around the world with Castlehouse Videography. He has produced films above 14,000ft in the Rocky Mountain West, filmed among indigenous communities in Peru and Ecuador, directed videos with professional surfers in Costa Rica and has received notable recognition in his hometown of Orcas Island in Washington State for his work telling stories in the outdoor space.

He is currently spending his free time in Boulder training for an ultra marathon in the fall, writing music and enjoying life as a Colorado elopement videographer :)

Fun Facts About Roo

Roo is a wilderness first responder, swift-water rescue certified, avalanche level 1 trained, a stand up paddle-board instructor and a former lifeguard. His resume reads like worn pages of an adventure novel. He speaks Spanish fluently and Arabic conversationally. He surfs, skates, snowboards and likes to walk/climb up mountains as demonstrated by his 15 + summits Colorado’s famous 14ers. With all of his outdoor experiences and camera expertise, he plans to continue sharing the stories of the people and couples who inspire the love, hope, joy and adventure in him.

Where Did it All Begin?

What began as a hobby that produced low-quality surf videos, Roo has now developed his passion into a business that has taken him around the world shooting for elopements, hotels, brands, and NGOs. Always seeking to make every video his proudest work, he simply wants what's best for you and will go above and beyond to satisfy your request.
