Real Elopement - Loveland Pass Elopement at Sunrise

This Loveland Pass Elopement…

This Loveland Pass Elopement was dreamy… Loveland Pass is a popular spot. Well, not popular in the sense that it’s #1 on the list of places to visit in Colorado but as far as elopement locations go, it’s somewhat common. It kind of checks off a lot of boxes; there’s not too many people there so you can feel like you have the place to yourselves, there’s not one but two lakes you can walk to (both less than a mile round trip from the trailhead), there’s pretty much 360 degree mountain views and you can feel like you’re in isolated wilderness even though you’re just a short walk to a road that you don’t hear. It’s accessible for guests, it’s relatively easy to get to from Denver or Breckenridge, and it’s got an epic sunrise.

Krystal and Josh and I were brainstorming locations when they first reached out to me to film their elopement and based off of all the characteristics above, it seemed like Loveland Pass was the obvious choice. So, off we went!

There’s some pretty amazing things that can happen on an elopement day, some of which you would expect. That feeling of hearing your partner say how much they love you and care for you. That rush you get signing your marriage license together, committing to your forever. But, there’s some less obvious ones too; the dirt stains on your dress that happens just from adventuring on your elopement day, the wind in your hair as your walking hand and hand with the person you love most in the world and when you allow yourself to slow down and take in the moments as they come. That’s exactly what happened with Krystal and Josh, we had an itinerary planned which I always tell couples is not like a traditional wedding itinerary that we have to stick to, but rather serves as a guide and outline for the day. And, we didn’t do basically anything on the itinerary. Krystal and Josh were just having so much fun on their Loveland Pass elopement that they didn’t really want to leave and do anything else, which is awesome! They had prepared an amazingly beautiful breakfast picnic to enjoy as they read some letters from their family and loved ones to make them feel a part of the day.

All in all, an epic day with some wonderful love in the air. Check out the video above and photos below to feel a part of this experience too!
